Versions of the RSS system
At A R K I A, we want to be transparent.
It is from the experience of our customers that we think about our models and their evolution.
After purchasing an A R K I A, you will receive a test questionnaire on the instrument. If you fill it out, this questionnaire will help us to continue our research to best meet your needs.
Here we share the results obtained, and the different versions that have resulted.
A R K I A Origin Model
RSS V 2.0
It is the version currently available in our online store.
Finally a comb that takes into account the difference in obtaining notes according to their nature and octave!
It's perfectly logical: the need is not the same in a chamber where you're going to do a draw bend and an overblow, and in a chamber where you're going to do a blow-bend and an overdraw, for example! So we need a comb which shape is optimized chamber by chamber.
V2.0 includes the same features that made V1.0 so strong: easy bends and overblows, a powerful and bright sound.
In addition, the comb has been modified to optimize each chamber individually, especially in the higher octave. Compared to V1.0, this results in a clear improvement of the overdraws and the 1st overblow.

Basis of the questionnaire: 50 harmonicists, of all levels
30% beginners, 40% intermediate level, 30% advanced level.

RSS V 1.0
Very first series of the Origin model, and very first A R K I A harmonicas.
An ultra fine instrument, with a bright sound, where everything has been thought to make bends and overblows easier.
Feedback has been very positive, with some suggestions for improvement.
